Volvo has recently revealed the brand spanking new cars – Volvo C30 with T5 Engine. This car has the larger turbo engine of 2.5 litre with boost power to 399bhp. Amazing isn’t it. Who knows this might just be the next Bond car? I don’t think that will happen but it is just a thought.
Ever since the new C30 has hit the market the sales have gone up for Volvo and now they even bettering the C30 with the help of Polestar. Since merging with Polestart, Volvo has won the Swedish Touring Car Championship in 2009. The new Volvo might even be faster than the Seat Leon Cupras, Honda Civic Type Rs, and the Golf GTIs. Meaning it will be doing something like 0-60 in 6 seconds may be. I would love to do a test drive on this new car to see if this is true or not.
The new car was on show on 22nd April 2010 in Sweden – Gothenburg motor show. People who went to see the show have given positive feedbacks on the new Volvo C30. The C30 polestar has 19 inch black alloys with Pirelli P Zero tyres whereas the old Volvo C30’s alloys only went up to 18 inches. It has upgraded springs and dampers to make sure the handling of the car is better than what it was before. I am sure from this update the price would be more expensive than usual for this car. The normal C30 R design will cost you around £16,000 but this car surely has to by pass that price range, I am sure it will be around the region of £20,000 or even more.
Many people are already saving up for this brand new Volvo and to be honest with you I will be doing the same. Some other people though are saying they rather buy a ford or a Toyota which will help them save some money and also these cars will run far longer than a Volvo. Few said if Volvo is going to be around the region of £20,000 then they would prefer buying Audi TT Coupe than the C30 but everyone has different choices.
